Ahh…weekends

Drool. Giggles. Screaming. Hugging. Smiling. Sleeping. Time-outs. Long naps. Short naps. Diapers. Pretending. Playing. Snacks. Movies. Horses. Outside. Dogs. Goofiness. Tears. Mistakes. Learning. Exploring. Love.

We spent the weekend camping and fishing on the South Platte river with some some great friends. Micah did most of the fishing, although Natalie had fun “fishing”. She liked to see the chicken (rooster tail) swim under the water. She only caught a few sticks, but she didn’t care, she had fun regardless. It was a little chilly but not nearly as miserable as our last camping trip.

We spent the day bouldering on the rocks at Castlewood Canyon. There was blood shed (barely classified as scratches really) , a bee sting (on Micah’s foot), a few tears ( …”I want more candy!!!” ), a river crossing with bare feet (ok, so the river was more like a small stream) and some great rock scrambling!

Easter

Our latest mountain adventure was on Easter. We enjoyed a snowy afternoon on the back side of Pikes Peak, the Crag’s to be exact. Sunny day, crazy dogs, giggly kids, good beer, silence…pure bliss!

We have fallen victim to the blog.
